Easy-to-read summary
Masterful.co, Copyhackers.com and Joanna Wiebe will make every reasonable effort to protect your privacy when you're using our sites. We ask that you do your best to help us help you by keeping your account secure.
COPYHACKERS operates several websites, including https://www.copyhackers.com and https://masterful.co. It is COPYHACKERS's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.
Website visitors
Like most website operators, COPYHACKERS collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally-identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our websites. From time to time, we may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of our website.
COPYHACKERS also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged-in users and for users leaving comments on our sites. We only disclose logged-in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that we use and disclose personally-identifying information as described below.
Gathering of personally-identifying information
Certain visitors choose to interact with COPYHACKERS in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information we gather depends on the nature of the interaction. The data collected for processing:
- When you sign up to receive emails from us, we store information you give us like your name, email address, and telephone number.
- When you create a Masterful account, we store your email address and membership details, including the number of team seats on your membership.
- COPYHACKERS uses Wistia (https://wistia.com) to power its videos. When you watch a video, Wistia processes information about that activity — including the video you watched, amount of time watched and the time at which the video was paused, device IDs, IP addresses, cookie data, and location.
- Those who engage in transactions with COPYHACKERS are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
In each case, we collect such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill and/or enhance the purpose of the visitor's interaction with COPYHACKERS. We do not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
All calls, including coaching calls, webinars and online training sessions, will be recorded for record-keeping, quality assurance, and training purposes.
Testimonials
COPYHACKERS posts some learners' testimonials on its websites. Testimonials will contain the name and, at times, the learner's job title and place of work. We obtain consent to post a name, job title and place of work at the time of the testimonial via email prior to posting it. Any learner may at any time request the removal of their testimonial by contacting us.
SMS/MMS text message marketing program
Your privacy is extremely important to us. We will only use information you provide through the SMS/MMS Text Message Marketing Program (“Program”) to transmit your mobile messages and respond to you, if necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, sharing information with platform providers, phone companies (carriers), and other vendors who assist us in the delivery of mobile messages. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers or customer information collected through the Program to any third party. Nonetheless, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any law, regulation or governmental request, to avoid liability, or to protect our rights or property.
When you complete forms or check out online or otherwise provide us information in connection with the Program, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and true information. You agree not to use a false or misleading name or a name that you are not authorized to use. If, in our sole discretion, we believe that any such information is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or you have opted into the Program for an ulterior purpose, we may refuse you access to the Program and pursue any appropriate legal remedies.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 and The General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) allow users of the Program that are California or European Union residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of the information you provide through the Program to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. COPYHACKERS takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
